Brush glazing in real time
Yesterday I showed you how I dip a mug in clear glaze. Today, I'm brush glazing this Best Mom mug with @amacobrent Celadon series glaze called Obsidian. I brush on 3 thick coats of this glaze - this is the second coat in the video. After all 3 coats have dried, I apply more coats of glaze using the sponge method. In total, my Galaxy mugs get 12 coats of glaze! . . . #etsyprocess #pottery #bestmom #handmade #potterymug #potteryvideo #etsy #ceramics #ceramicsvideo #videotutorial #handmademug
Unloading bisque ware
I’m unloading the last little bit of bisque ware after 3 firings and 6 days of non-stop kiln action. These pieces will be available in my next shop update! . . . . #pottery #mugs #handmade #ceramics #etsyprocess #etsy #handmademug #mommug #bestmom #fallmug #fall #potterymug #mom #momgift #giftformom

Waxing mug feet
I use Forbes wax from Highwater Clays, a flat brush and a banding wheel. These tools make it effortless to prepare and wax the foot on a mug. Benefits of waxing the foot: - The pot soaks up less glaze, saving you money - It keeps glaze out of any signature or branding stamp - It makes wiping any excess glaze off the foot easier and takes less time.
