I was immediately swept up in the story. It grabs you from the start. I loved how the author stays true to the history of the time, while at the same time creating such a dramatic and heart-wrenching story.
Geraldine Brooks is such a good writer and I have enjoyed all her books. This is a historical fiction book that focuses on the true story of a small village in England that quarantines themselves, thus sacrificing themselves, when the plague infects their village.
