The former Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau is a complex built between 1901 and 1930, designed by the Catalan modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was a fully functioning hospital until June 2009.
Casa Macaya, Barcelona, Spain. Declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest, the Macaya house was finished in 1901. The architect, Josep Puig i Cadafalch, revived the grandiose of the Gothic style with his design of the facade. Arches columns are intricately carved decorated by ironwork next to white stucco walls with elaborately engraved designs.
