Epic hero: Hercules contained all the characteristics of an epic hero. He was noble, largely admired, and performed incredible deeds. His strength was not to be matched by any human. Odysseus and Hercules shared similar heroic characteristics as well as flaws. Odysseus was extremely clever but also very prideful. Both were largely affected by their flaws. Hercules ended up killing his wife and children in effect of his anger issues and Odysseus was terribly cursed for his pride.
