Hand carved in Alder wood by California wildlife artist, Richard Vest, this piece measures approximately 16" x 23" with a Tung Oil finish. This piece can hang as a wall piece or be placed on a coffee table or sculpture stand as a 3d sculptural work. The photo shows it as a 3d piece. Hooks on the underside make is available for wall hanging too. Sting Rays are a group of rays related to sharks. They are found in the shallow coastal waters of temperate seas reaching a length of 6.5 feet/ 790 lbs. This carving is suitable for indoor display only. Each is signed, copyright dated and an original piece with it's own grain, coloring, texture and personality. Richard uses a torch to darken the eyes on each piece. Additionally, a signed Authenticity Certificate accompanies each piece. If the carving is complete at the time an order comes in, shipment occurs in 3-5 days.
