We can only tell you a little bit about these vintage glass insulators. They were originally used as an insulating cap for high voltage applications - typically one telephone and/or telegraph poles. They were found in a small group and our purchasers know crafting gold when when they see it. Heavy, thick glass in good, used vintage condition but definitely not perfect or new. Some wear, discoloration, etc. Threaded on the inside with a beaded style base lip. The glass has embossed lettering identifying the manufacturer as Hemingray and the model as #12.
