Rare Vintage Layfield Paddle Wheel Lure it’s an Original Cotton Layfield Paddle Wheel Lure made in the 30s and 40s. The tail is made from skunk hair. The paddle wheeler was informally called "Cotton's Topwater". It’s about 2 inches long without tail, and about 1-1/16 across the head. Vintage Texas made Wooden Layfield Lures patented by Jester & Floyd "Cotton" Layfield from Kerens, Texas in 1930's.
