Handmade ribbon quilt, made to order lap size or throw size. YOU CHOOSE your color scheme. The pictured quilt can be made in the same color scheme or ANY COLORS of your own choosing. The size of this quilt cannot be customized. It is a lap size quilt pattern, 52 x 64 inches. White or off white is typically used for the neutral background setting, and the ribbons in your favorite colors are seemingly woven across the quilt. Quilt stitching design in off white thread will be in swirls, unless otherwise discussed. This homemade cotton quilt is pieced in a soft color palette, sized for use as a throw at 52 inches by 64 inches, appropriately sized to cover oneself on the sofa or bed. The fabrics are 100% high quality cotton, and the batting is also cotton. Enjoy this quilt as a touch of softness in your own home decor, or it would make a thoughtful shower, girl or boy birthday, depending on color choices, or housewarming gift. Thanks for visiting my shop! HOW ITS MADE The top layer of the quilt is sewn together, piece by piece, on my Bernina machine. Colors and fabric designs are carefully chosen and coordinated prior to cutting and stitching. Creating the quilt top is typically the longest part of the process. The middle layer is hidden, inside the top and bottom layer, and is a soft layer of highest quality batting made from cotton. The bottom or back layer of the quilt is made of only one fabric, which can be a solid or print that coordinates with the top. All three layers are sandwiched together, then carefully quilted in an all over meandering pattern. CARE INSTRUCTIONS All quilts can be machine washed in cold water, and machine dried. With each wash, the quilt will become softer.
