Deep images of the Northern Cross asterism, within the constellation Cygnus, reveal an immense and complex nebulosity that consists of several separately named nebula. Lower left is NGC 7000, the North America nebula, and IC 5070, the Pelican; center is IC 1318, the Butterfly; continuing diagonally right is NGCC 6888, the Crescent and Sh2-101, the Tulip. Bottom right in clear space is NGC 6960 and NGC 6992, collectively the Veil supernova remnant.
