Tallulah Brockman Bankhead (January 31, 1902 – December 12, 1968) was an American actress of the stage and screen. Bankhead was also known for her deep voice, flamboyant personality, and support of liberal causes. She chain-smoked, enjoyed more than her share of gin and bourbon, and was known to take her clothes off and chat in the nude. She reportedly engaged in hundreds of affairs with men and women and was investigated by MI5 over rumors she was corrupting pupils at Eton.
