Al-Hameed (the Praiseworthy) Gratitude is the foundation of faith, for everything that human beings possess is granted by Allah, including their very existence. Thus, He alone deserves our regular and highest praise and thanks, not only in words but by utilizing all of our faculties in ways pleasing to Him. Furthermore, a part of thanking Allah is thanking His creatures through whom He benefited them. As the Prophet (pbuh) said, “Whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah.”
