This is a downloadable digital design that is to be used in an embroidery sewing machine - This is NOT a finished item that will be mailed to you. As soon as we receive payment, you will receive a confirmation email from Etsy with information on how to download the design. You will receive the design in a zipped folder in the following formats: ART, BRO, DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP and XXX - you will receive all nine formats. You will receive the In-The-Hoop Felt-Fabric Flowers design as a straight stitch outline and a blanket stitch outline in 4x4 and 5x7. The sizes of the actual flowers are as follows: 4x4 SIZES - 1 1/2" & 2 1/4" circles and 2 1/2" & 2 3/4" leaves 5x7 SIZES - 2" & 3" circles and 2 7/8" & 3 1/4" leaves The flowers are quick and easy to make. You can use felt, burlap, fleece, cotton fabric, specialty fabric, etc. The straight stitch or blanket stitch outline is done entirely in the hoop. Then you cut around the shapes close to the stitching, stack the circles and leaves and hand sew a stitch through the center to join them. You can glue or hand sew buttons, beads, pompoms, etc. to the flower centers. Headbands, barrettes, pillows, etc. can be embellished with the three dimensional flowers. The flowers can be sewn on clothing and fabric purses as a three dimensional applique. Mix and match the circles and leaves in the different hoop sizes to create even more varieties of flowers. Sew the ends of three or four leaf shapes together for a different type of flower. Instructions are included to create flowers with finished edges by turning the circles right side out, and also to create flowers with a gathered center.
