"BALLAST DECK DESK" The Ballast Deck Desk features Carnegie rail from 1900 and a ballast tray filled with granite ballast as used on the main line. The base is crafted from a combination of mainline and branch line ties giving it an impressive presence. It is finished in a Provincial stain and polyurethane sealer. The top is 1/2" thick glass with penciled edges. This piece is individually numbered with a salvaged railroad tie date nail from 1901.
