A Belle Epoque Callot Soeurs dinner dress, ca 1905. Callot Soeurs was renowned for masterful use of lace embroidery & for one-of-a-kind embroideries. Made from dove gray silk charmeuse, this exemplar of the Callot style is lavishly hand embroidered with silk floss & subtle gold metallic thread. The lace inserts are of handmade Venetian lace.
