Federico Fellini's 'I Vitelloni', 1953 - This is a comedy-drama directed & co-written by Fellini about a group of Italian men who settle into the familiar comfort of the small town they were born in. Only one of the friends has the courage to leave the town & pursue a more challenging life elsewhere. This film would inspire later films like 'Mean Streets' & 'Diner'.
