Santa Clarita is a family oriented valley. It is a great place to raise children and it is pretty self contained if one does not feel like driving over two sets of hills to get to Hollywood/Central LA for some partying. Valencia has quite a few nice hangouts, although we could use some after hours action. Santa Clarita has great shops, amazing hiking in Placerita Canyon, animal sanctuaries, salons, and restaurants (though none exclusively vegan yet, unfortunately). It is home.
