In the south of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, Italian immigrants settled, coming mostly from Genoa, in the late nineteenth establishing one of the most picturesque and traditional neighbor in the city.
This famous cathedral stands in St Mark’s Square in Venice, which Napoleon described as “the most beautiful lounge in Europe”. Among the several treasures that St Mark’s Basilica houses, we can find a stone which came from the Temple of Alexandria on which is thought to fell John the Baptist’s head after his decapitation.

The arrival of the new millennium promoted several works in London in order to modernize the city’s architecture. Among these new constructions there is the Millennium Bridge, inaugurated on June 10, 2000, to join two very important points of the city: St. Paul’s Cathedral with the Tate Modern.
In 2005, a controversial monument in memory of the Jew victims during the Nazi genocide was inaugurated in the center of the German capital. An overall of 2711 concrete blocks with different heights compose this memorial designed by architect Peter Eisenman. Visitors can choose their own way in and out, since it is not a conventional monument, but it is designed for interaction.
