From the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, comes this helmet dated to the 6th century bce. Identified as a Chalcidean helmet, it has several stylized features, such as the curls at the brow and rear, 'locks' of hair on the sides, and ears.

Their eyes, mouths and chests were covered in gold foil richly decorated with drawings of lions and other animals symbolizing royal power.
