Austria-based Gerhard Feldbacher recently built a tiny house, named Simple Home, that's designed to strike a happy balance between portability and size.
Designed as a weekend retreat, the Wallace Creek residence has a long, narrow construction with ample outdoor areas. Buttressed by a stone retaining wall which runs the length of the structure, the home extends through the landscape and opens to views of the surrounding woods. The amount of covered patio space, nearly double the size of the interior, blurs the distinction between the indoors and the outdoors.
