The Queen Anne and The Queen Caroline Necklaces - These tow rows of large, lustrous, graduated pearls, with pearl clasps, are always worn together and were left to the Crown by Queen Victoria. The shorter row, of forty-six pearls, weighs 1,045 grammes and is said to have belonged to Queen Anne, the last of the Stuart monarchs. The longer of the pair weighs 1,429.2 grammes. In 1947 both necklaces were given to Princess Elizabeth as a wedding present by her father King George VI.
