Apr 23rd, 1850 - William Wordsworth (b.1770), poet, died aged 80. Wordsworth was a major English Romantic poet who, with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, helped launch the Romantic Age in English literature with the 1798 joint publication Lyrical Ballads. Wordsworth's magnum opus is The Prelude, a semiautobiographical poem of his early years. It was posthumously titled & published. Wordsworth died by re-aggravating a case of pleurisy,& was buried at St. Oswald's Church in Grasmere.
