“Since Christ Himself has said, “This is My Body” who shall dare to doubt that It is His Body?” -St. Cyril of Jerusalem, 315-386 AD. Mass is catechesis: we are nourished by Jesus & we learn how much we are loved by Him; we are commanded to take that love to the peripheries of human existence that Pope Francis talks about. Those peripheries demand the transcendent: truth, beauty, goodness, consistency. How can we presume to do this if we have liturgies that cause confusion re what we believe?
