The country chateau in Navarre was purchased for Josephine by Napoleon after his marriage to Marie-Louise.  She was very jealous of Josephine and wanted her as far from Paris as possible.  Apparently, Malmaison wasn't far enough!  But Josephine hated the chateau and much preferred her beloved Malmaison.

DA MAIANO y POLLAIOLO realizaron el PALAZZO STROZZI ENTRE 1489 Y 1507.  Sus trazas siguen el modelo del palacio Médici-Riccardi: De forma cúbica,  cuyas tres fachadas exentas se cubren con sillar almohadillado de relieve decreciente, y tres plantas separadas por impostas. Las dos superiores presentan ventanas ajimezadas y rectangulares en la inferior. CON patio rectangular.DISTRIBUIDOR. Se remata con una gran cornisa.
