Lorenzo Castillo's 11,000 square-foot duplex is in a building that was a convent in the 17th century. Castillo restored the weathered architectural details and furnished with pieces in a mix of many styles. The blue and white geometric rug in the living room is based on a vintage pattern. In this version of his living room, Castillo's mastery at mixing patterns can be admired once again. The ornate gold and navy trellis patterned screen contrasts pops against the white fireplace and walls. The plaid chair fabric works surprisingly well with the intricately patterned blue and white rug. Image courtesy Casas & Gente Magazine, Spain.

Duplex by Lorenzo Castillo, Madrid

This is over the top, three-alarm insanity,- - - I want to run away,- - - so why can't I stop looking at it? It's the most intense love/hate relationship I've ever had with interior decor !!!!!!

Super cool way to give a tribal feel to your rooms. Carpets lining the wall behind shelves.
