Raval...what used to be dirty and dodgy Barrio Chino is quickly becoming Soho-ish. Still, there are some authentic experiences to be lived. Took Hospital street from Las Ramblas, then snuck down Robadors . Made it towards the end of San Pau and the back up Rambla del Raval, with its mix of kebab places, dingy-but-cool cafés and bars, grandpas sitting under trees, Moroccan kids and the odd crazy. Barcelona's underbelly is not for the faint-hearted.
