Harvest moon Drum by Goothl T'similx of the Nisga’a, Tlingit, and Tsimshian Nations. - "You can ask every Northwest Coast artist, and they’ll tell you that some of the best carvers are the ones who have an understanding of ceremony. Taking on that larger chieftainship means that I have more responsibilities, both financially and culturally. Financially in the way of making sure that I can get home to attend feasts and potlatches, culturally by being able to create things for my people."
