Start the week with a prayer. Let us ask Mary to help us to respond to violence, to conflict and to war, with the power of dialogue, reconciliation and love. She is our mother: may she help us to find peace; all of us are her children! Help us, Mary, to overcome this most difficult moment and to dedicate ourselves each day to building in every situation an authentic culture of encounter and peace. Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us! www.pauline.org

Today we pass by many doors that invite us to enter, promising a happiness that we then realize lasts only an instant, that exhausts itself and has no future. Who do we want to let in through the door of our life? Let us not be afraid to enter the door of faith in Jesus, to let him enter more and more into our life, to leave behind our egoism, our closedness, our indifference so that Jesus illuminate our life with a light that never goes out. www.pauline.org

The cross represents all the love of God, which is greater than our iniquities and our betrayals. In the cross we see the monstrosity of man when he allows evil to guide him; but we also see the immensity of the mercy of God, who does not treat us according to our sins but according to his mercy.

You cannot have peace without dialogue. All wars, all struggles, all problems that are not resolved, with which we face, are due to lack of dialogue. To listen to others and then talk. All of this is meekness. www.pauline.org
