Un grupo insurgente iraquí, autodenominado La Brigada Al Muyaidín, publicó esta foto en el año 2005 según aseguraban, era el soldado norteamericano John Adams.Las peticiones del grupo llegaron a la prensa y poco después un ejecutivo de una empresa de juguetes identificó al supuesto «secuestrado» como uno de sus juguetes llamado «comando especial Cody».

Hamid Gul (Urdū:حمید گل; born 20 November 1936) HI(M), SBt, is a retired high-ranking general officer in the Pakistan Army, and a former spymaster famous for serving as the Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistan's premier intelligence agency, between 1987 and 1989 during the late stages of and post-stages of the Soviet war in Afghanistan.[1]  Gul is widely known and credited for pressing the hard-line policies on India after starting the insurgency in Kashmir

Police arrive on an armored police vehicle as they surround an apartment building. The suspects were identified to The Associated Press as coming from the Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars. A law enforcement intelligence bulletin obtained by the AP identified the surviving bomb suspect as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, a 19-year-old who had been living in Cambridge, just outside Boston, and said he "may be armed and dangerous."
