This framed antique Cockatoo print was made in Paris around 1853 and published by Garniew Freres. The hand colored engraving is in very good condition with light age related tanning. The frame is 13 1/2" high x 11 3/8" wide and the visible part of the print is 8" high x 5" wide. The details are clear and the colors are rich. The background color is light beige. The mat is archival and the frame is ready made. The drawing was made by V. Adam and the engraving was made by Dunaim. Printed below each picture in light elegant script is the name of each bird in French. Below are the English and Latin names.
