1904 South Bend Surrey - Walter E. Mack of South Bend, Indiana purchased a Studebaker electric car, found that it didn’t meet his expectations, and resolved to build a better car himself. He purchased a 219.9ci, 4 cyl. modified engine from the Buffalo Gasolene Motor Company, a 3 speed transmission & wheels w/ coiled springs that radiate from the center allowing for a "floating hub" separate from the wheel. Mack died in 1906 not having produced another car. This one is in original condition.
