Arch of the Sergii, Pula, Croatia, c. 10-20 AD, limestone attic on top of sandstone the rest. Commissioned by Salvia Postuma Sergia, erected with her own money as on inscription on attic, honour deceased family members, statues stood on top. Not triumphal, victory over death, hence Victories in spandrels and eagle carrying snake skyward. Also Erotes, chariots, and bull skulls = funerary but triumphal over death.
