1975 - Stairway to Heaven.....This song means so much to me. It has helped me through a lot over the years. It means so many different things. As the lyrics go "You know sometimes words have two meanings."
Richard MacDonald in his Monterey studio Richard MacDonald (born 1946) is a California-based contemporary figurative artist known for his bronze sculptures. Educated in painting and illustration, MacDonald was successful as a commercial illustrator until his late thirties, when a fire destroyed his studio, along with the accumulated works of his career as painter and illustrator. Subsequently, he began sculpting in earnest and within ten years.
He is a master of texture; making much use of wax-resist and a combination of glossy, semi-matt and matt oxidized glazes on stoneware he creates richly coloured patterns resembling naturally occurring surfaces that might be seen through a telescope or a microscope. His forms are thrown and hand-built, often on a plinth in a complementary finish and colour. Peter's work is widely acclaimed, has won many international awards and is found in numerous private and public collections.
