And sadly, not all flowers grow the same length. In fact, you can often buy bunches of certain flower types that have been cut shorter, and the price is significantly reduced (helpful for the budget!) BUT how do we work around this? It easy if you know HOW. Because floristry is 90% problem solving.. 8% playing with flowers and 2% washing buckets 😊 ✨YOU WILL NEED✨ ✔️a water vial ✔️a zip tie ✔️a spare flower stem - waste not, want not! I used the stem of an oriental Lilly that I had cut off to use in another design. ✨HOW TO✨ 🌸grab your short stem and pop it into your water vial, which you’ve already filled with clean water 🌸grab the stem from a sturdy flower that you’re already discarded. You could use an old chopstick or stick, but I personally like to use up as much waste as I can! Stems from flowers such as Colombian roses or oriental lilies work well 🌸Attach your water vial to the stem with a zip tie, securing tightly. Snip the end off your zip tie. You could also use wire or even pot tape to secure, if you don’t have any zip ties 🌸Pop into your design!
