Bio-Tech tower by ON-A
This tower of luxury homes in Taipei is a layer of technological green that appeals to sustainability from materiality, management and maintenance. Bioarchitecture was used to create a green building, where users are able to feel a coonection with nature while still living in urban spaces.
Smart Mesh Building
As a result of parametric architecture, it is possible to experiment with new architectural forms and create unique spaces. The Smart Mesh Building in Taipei was designed based on a parametric study.
Drassanes Metro Station by ON-A
Beneath a geometric network of different folds, forms, and angles, a continuous surface is recreated. Its disintegration into a series of discrete panels communicates a break in the three-dimensional conception of the space, generating a new fragmented zone that passes under the trains going by overhead.
Drassanes Metro Station by ON-A
The Drassanes metro station is located at the end of the Rambla in Barcelona, a strategic enclave of the city. It is a point of articulation for the historic center and sees one of the largest pedestrian flows during the day, with about 30,000 users who access Barcelona’s metro system. As part of a campaign to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility, TMB decided to rehabilitate the station in its original configuration. Waiting areas, entryways, signage, cladding, furniture, and new flooring are part of the general design proposal, which was limited by technical and mobility-related constraints.
Pattern Building by ON-A
The concept includes a façade that functions as a visual filter, generating a harmonious overall image for the building with a continuous latticework wall rendered in glass fiber reinforced concrete. The design provides privacy to the building’s apartments and gardens on the main facade, as well as creating a cutting-edge architectural identity.

Leisure and relaxation are catered for with a sun deck and a pool area on the roof, offering stunning close-up views of the sea. The exterior enclosing wall is the result of explorations in parametric architecture using key resources such as CAD/CAM digital production. The façade functions as a visual filter, generating a harmonious overall image for the building with a continuous latticework wall rendered in glass fiber reinforced concrete.
