Pantheon of Kings, Monasterio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial-Here rest the remains of Philip II of Spain, (born May 21, 1527, Valladolid, Spain—died September 13, 1598, El Escorial), Elizabeth I's arch-enemy, and one of Catholicism's staunchest defenders. Philip's sarcophagi is the second one from the top, on the right.
