Stunning Photos of an Ice-Encased Ski Resort in Slovenia

Slovenian photographer Marko Korošec knew, that ice and snow can form impressive structures, but what he saw after a long climb to Mount Javornik surpassed his expectations. Once atop of the mountain, clearing weather unveiled the sight of popular skiing resort covered in extremely thick and hard ice rime, forming sharp, ghostly structures, longest spikes reaching over 1 meter.

Rob Mulholland: Vestige Installation

Scottish sculptor Rob Mulholland has created this art installation at the David Marshall Lodge in Scotland titled Vestige. Mulholland’s idea behind the installation seems twofold: to create a vestige of the people who once occupied the land until following World War I, when they were re-located while forests were planted to generate timber and to make people reflect upon man’s impact on the nature.
