Tan Hill Inn - allegedly the highest pub in England. Visited during a Yorkshire Dales Holiday in 1987 - I believe I was drinking Theakstone's Old Peculier photo: http://www.ramblefest.com/Images/tan_hill.jpg
Burnbake Campsite, Dorset. Natural camping at its best. Relaxed woodland camping where the kids can truly run free. Rope swings, stuff to climb on, a stream to jump or swing across and fall in, woods to explore and open fires definitely allowed. You'll get a warm welcome and a warm shower if you're lucky, But that's a small price to pay for a piece of heaven.
The Plume of Feathers, Princetown, Dartmoore. Love this pub, got to stay here more often an go for some walks

The Cat and Fiddle road (A537) links Macclesfield and Buxton and runs across the heart of the Peak District. It is named after the Cat and Fiddle pub which lies at its summit. It is a favourite road with motorcycle enthusiasts because of its many bends and is one of the most dangerous roads in the country.
