Art Projects for Kids: artist Oldenburg. Pencil posts wrapped in paper
A few months ago I shared some of the Family Friendly Street Art my kids and I make – painting rocks or sticks or leaves and hiding them around town to bring a smile to passers-by. This year we decided to massively expand the idea and take it to Grand Rapids MI during the world's largest ArtPrize. In the past, my three oldest kids and I would paint around 40 objects to hide in town.
What started as a seemingly simple, delicate room turned into an amazing sticker installation. Yayoi Kusama masterminded this for the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane. Over the course of two weeks, children who visited the museum were given stickers to place where they wished. The installation, entitled The Obliteration Room.

Pour diluted acrylic into bottles and shake" the kids love it. Take cap off and the next day, begin cutting the spiral from the top just enough to let air in....it dries much faster. When dry finish cutting spiral. The acrylic in the bottles makes them look so shinny. They look great. Thread the cut bottles through a long piece of wire and hang it vertically from the ceiling.
