Alexine Tinne (1835-1869)

Una de las exploradoras más osadas que dio el siglo XIX. Joven heredera de una fortuna, la holandesa se embarcó con su madre y una tía, primero por Oriente Medio, después por África en busca de las Fuentes del Nilo y, finalmente, por el Sáhara donde murió asesinada por los tuaregs con tan sólo 33 años.
