Cartagena is a historical port city on the southeastern tip of the Murcia region in Spain. One of the oldest cities in the world, Cartagena has been populated since the Phoenician conquest approximately 227 BC. Due to its prime during the Roman Empire, plenty of ancient historical sites were discovered and after many years, these sites have been regenerated with modern touches. This theater was buried beneath the city and excavated throughout the years.
