Connect a hot water reservoir with a coil wrapped around the flue. The water runs through the coil and heats up as it is in contact with the hot flue. And voila..."free" hot water! You can also build a cob encasement around the wood stove & flue so the cob will heat up during a fire and stay warm after the fire is out. This is totally how I'm going to heat my water in my (truly) off-grid home.
