Walk Like an Egyptian by The Bangles- English not being my first language, this is the first English song I remember learning "the dance" to and I remember doing it every time the song played on TV. It says on Wikipedia that "Liam Sternberg wrote the song after seeing people on a ferry walking awkwardly to keep their balance, which reminded him of figures in Ancient Egyptian reliefs." But in my opinion, they are talking about more than just a way to walk or dance.
