One of my quilts designed after the floor of the St Marco Cathedrale in Venice/Italy. Before I moved to Canada I studied in Italy. Art restoration and ancient Roman history. St Marco was always one of my favorites. I lots of photos and books from there and also worked with the Cararra marble and the colors it comes in. Rainbow Charms is finished! Measures 49" by 63" I bought the backing last year at Hancock's of Paducah when I was in town for the Fall Paducah AQS show. At the time, I didn't have a particular project in mind but I knew it would make a great backing - and it has.
