The Black Pearl

The Black Pearl, formerly known as the Wicked Wench, was an infamous ship of the seven seas. The ship was originally a merchant vessel called the Wicked Wench before being raised from the depths as a pirate vessel and renamed the Black Pearl. With sails as dark as a moonless night, and a hull painted to match, the Black Pearl was every inch a pirate ship, built for action. Earning a legendary status under their ownership, the ship was most famously used by Jack Sparrow and Hector Barbossa...

This ship is docked in Hawaii at Ko Olina. This is what they used in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I understand it is going back to mainland US soon , so we were lucky to see it. We stayed in Hawaii close to where it was docked. I don't think many know it is docked in Oahu.

I started working on the pirates of the caribbean trilogy - I have an idea for all three posters - so we will see how they turn out. This is the first one. The circle has double meanings - a pearl and the moon :-) Hope you like my homemade skeleton head too :-)
