Located in Surat, the client approached us to craft a 2400 sq ft. 5 BHK Bungalow with a modernist appearance topped with luxury and comfort. Our vision was to give distinct look to each corner and room of the house keeping in mind its utility. In order to balance the monochrome with wood tone, the furniture was chosen to be made of teak wood, which offers relaxation via soft beige and white hue.

‘How does one live?’ The question we asked ourselves as the client approached us with a unique requirement of a residence for a joint family in a farm-land in a village. More so as this was to be designed and built in a non-urban context but with all the modern amenities and was to be a permanent residence celebrating Indian architecture.

This is a modern design residence bungalow that is minimally designed as per the needs of each family member in mind.

The entire house was conceptualized in the form of huge mass, voids of the same volume, and extended columns and beams to show an open structural grid. This project is defined by two principle elements. The first is the play of volumes in a dwelling that illustrates interesting double height spaces and second is the use of raw materials and perforated brick patterns.
