How to get Grease stains out-old or new. Apply a liquid grease-fighting dish soap directly to the stain, such as Dawn or Palmolive, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Be careful with colored dish soap, however, as dyes could lead to further stains on light-colored clothes. Soak the piece of clothing in warm water for 15-30 minutes. Wash the garment as normal. Check to see if the grease stain is still present. Drying will set the stain in more. If it’s still there, repeat steps 2-4.
