St. George and the Dragon – J. E. Boehm, Hungarian by descent and Austrian by birth and education, became one of the foremost sculptors in Britain and one of the chief portraitists of the great and the good. He was born in Vienna, his father being Director of the Imperial Mint and possessor of a huge collection of fine art from the times of ancient Egypt onwards.
