Prince Andrew has reportedly refused to leave property, which is thought to be worth £30million and promised King Charles he would take care of its expensive repairs.

The King has long been trying to get his brother - who has no apparent source of income - to leave the Windsor mansion amid rumours the Prince of Wales is keen to take up the residence.

The disgraced Duke of York, who has no apparent income, was reportedly told last year to leave the 30-room Royal Lodge by the King. There were claims Andrew, 64, could not meet the £400,000-a-year upkeep costs

The Duke of York's Royal Standard, which flies above the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park has appeared to have been taken down even while Prince Andrew has been in residence.
