Based Book Arts - French Link Stitch and Coptic Binding Workshop

During this 3.5-hour workshop, participants will get to learn basic bookbinding skills and how to handcraft an exposed spine book using 3 different stitches - french link stitch, link stitch and kettle stitch. Participants will be able to customise their books by choosing from blank and/or dotted grid pages and from a variety of colours for the cover and thread.

Closeup of the french link stitching pattern

This icy white journal has some interesting stitching - I'd seen some "French" stitching for regular hardbound books and thought it would be really nice to have it visible on the outside of the spine.
