They are lightly sweet, delicious, and have been used in edible and medicinal preparations for thousands of years all over the world.

These are some of my favorite ways to incorporate this magical flower into my recipes and into building my herbal medicine cabinet: 

1. Infusing rose petals into alcohol is one of the first things I do after a harvest because this can be used in so many ways from botanical & medicinal cocktails to desserts and meals. Rose petal tincture (alcohol extract)  is known for its heart-healing and soothing properties, astringent digestive benefits and so many others. To make this alcohol-free, use apple cider vinegar instead of alcohol!
